Privacy policy
The FreeMachine Universe app (“Free Machine”, “we”) is published by RyeCentral Brands, LLC, Flagler Beach, Florida, USA. This policy covers the app for iPhone and Android and this website, freemachineuniverse.com.
The short version: the Free Machine never connects to your bank or card. Free Machine Cash is a number you log yourself, not real money. We don’t sell your data.
What we collect in the app
- Sign-in. You sign in with Apple or Google. We receive a unique account ID and, if you allow it, your name and email. We never see your password.
- Phone number (optional). Only so people who already have your number can find you. It isn’t shown publicly or sold.
- Your name. Shown to people in your network.
- What you log. Savings, treats, unexpected costs and good deeds, plus any photo or video you attach. Only you see these, and the people in your network you choose to share them with, such as someone you ask to verify an entry.
- Your network. Who you invite, their role (adult or child) and their relationship to you. Only family can see each other’s balances.
- Push token. To send notifications. You can turn them off in your phone’s settings.
- Contacts (only if you choose). If you tap “Find people you know”, phone numbers from your contacts are checked against Free Machine accounts and then discarded. We don’t store your contacts.
- Offer preferences. Your answers to three offer questions and which offers you’ve hidden or revealed.
We do not collect bank, card or transaction data.
How we use it
To run the app: your balance, your network, verification, your character and rewards, notifications and offers. Offers are personalized from what you log in the app, never from bank or card data.
Kids’ profiles
A parent creates and manages each child’s profile. It holds the child’s name, their logged good deeds and spending and, once the child has their own phone, their sign-in account. A parent approves every spend. Offers are never shown to child profiles, and children’s data is never used for advertising. The Free Machine isn’t designed for children to sign up on their own.
Who we share data with
- Apple and Google, to handle sign-in.
- Supabase, which stores app data in the United States. Photos and videos are private and opened only through short-lived links.
- Expo, which delivers push notifications using your device’s push token.
- Skimlinks and retailers, when you tap an offer (below).
Invites and messages are sent from your own phone through the app you choose. The Free Machine never texts or emails people on your behalf.
Offers and commissions
Offers come from stores in the Skimlinks network. When you tap Shop, the store opens through a tracking link, and the Free Machine may earn a commission if you buy. Your price doesn’t change. The link tells the store the visit came from the Free Machine but carries no personal data. Skimlinks and the stores follow their own privacy policies.
This website
This site doesn’t use cookies or ask you to sign in. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the site. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and clicks on our App Store and Google Play buttons. It doesn’t use cookies or track you across other sites, and we only see totals, never who you are. If you email us, we use your message only to reply.
Your choices and deleting your data
You can edit or delete any entry by holding its row in the app. You can delete your account in Settings. It’s removed from the app straight away, and after 30 days your profile, entries, requests and media, and the profiles of children you run from your device, are erased for good. Sign back in within those 30 days to restore it. Entries you logged on family members’ profiles and your shared-pot entries stay with your family. See Delete your account for the email route.
